Terry Avenue Meadow Park
Terry Avenue Meadow park is a new kind of street park. It is about people, place, and the opportunity to reveal a hidden neighborhood gem unique to Seattle. The processes of exploring, discovering, and reclaiming this site exemplify what landscape ecologist Nina-Marie Lister describes as small scale, explicitly experimental, flexible, adaptive urban design. The conceptual plans look closely at deep qualities that exist on the site and outline simple moves which reveal their character and function. Its intent is to create a truly public gathering place which activates the community and reconnects people with their neighborhood.
