Sinkhole Under University Bridge in 2007!!!
In 2007, underneath the University Bridge located in the neighborhood of Eastlake in Seattle, Washington, a sinkhole opened up large enough to swallow two whole cars. The cause of the sinkhole was a result of a water pipe, probably leaking, and eroding the ground away over time below the surface. The hole’s location caused local residents to loose water for several days, as well as complicated repairs by city workers due to the close proximity to a gas line.
